Arda is a lawyer and Senior Manager in the Canadian law firm of EY Law LLP and a Senior Manager within the Global Immigration practice. She practices in all aspects of Canadian citizenship and immigration law, with an emphasis in corporate immigration. Arda assists with the temporary and permanent entries of business personnel into Canada. She also advises clients in regulatory matters under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. As a Senior Manager within the Global Immigration Practice, she also provides advisory services related to global immigration program management, policy development, vendor compliance and risk management related to cross-border travel.
Arda is a member of the Quebec & Ontario Bar Associations, the Canadian Bar Association, the Barreau du Quebec, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the AQAADI (Quebec Immigration Lawyers Association) as well as the EY Women’s Network. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Law and holds an NCA Certificate of Qualification from the National Accreditation Committee. Arda is fluent in French and Armenian and conversant in Spanish.
Before joining EY Law LLP, Arda worked at several boutique firms specializing in immigration both in Montreal and Toronto, where she assisted clients in various immigration matters, including permanent residence applications, humanitarian and compassionate applications, admissibility issues and Canadian citizenship. She has also represented clients before various immigration tribunals. Arda has volunteered for several legal clinics as well as provided ongoing mentoring to recent migrants pursuing legal accreditation to work in Canada.
