Azra is a lawyer with EY Law LLP’s Canadian business immigration practice. She advises corporate clients on all aspects of Canadian citizenship and immigration law and has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada.
Azra regularly assists clients with permanent and temporary residence applications and various immigration matters including economic class permanent residence applications, humanitarian and compassionate applications, temporary residence applications, procedural fairness responses, admissibility issues and Canadian citizenship.
Azra graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. While in school, Azra was involved in the Migrant Workers Clinic and the Immigration and Refugee stream at the Legal Assistance of Windsor, where she served clients on various legal matters including restoration of status.
Prior to law school, Azra worked for a federal government agency, where she focused on the compliance of small immigrant businesses with legislative requirements. Azra also volunteered with the YMCA Employment and Immigrant Services and assisted with the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the Brant community.
Azra has represented clients before the Federal Court of Canada and is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario.
