Gabriela is a Partner and a member of the leadership team at EY Law LLP. She possesses almost 30 years of experience practicing exclusively in the field of corporate immigration and citizenship law, advising multinational corporations on strategic immigration planning, global workforce mobility, and immigration-related issues during mergers and acquisitions. She also developed and led the Canadian immigration employer compliance consulting practice of a large, multinational client services firm.

Gabriela has served for many years as a member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Citizenship and Immigration Section Executive in different capacities, and is the Immediate Past-Chair of the section for 2020-2021. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Citizenship and Immigration National Section Executive, where she serves as a Member-at-Large and as the Co-Chair of the Anti-Racism Committee. She is also the Secretary of the OBA Women Lawyers Forum Executive, was a member of the OBA Institute 2020 Planning Committee, and was a Board member for the Jewish Refugee Action Network.

Gabriela is a member of the Who’s Who Legal Corporate Immigration listing, is listed in the Best Lawyers 2021 for Immigration Law, and was also a member of the International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers (1st, 2nd and 3rd editions), published by Business Law Research.

Gabriela has appeared before parliamentary and senate committees, and has lectured extensively on immigration and citizenship issues at law schools, colleges, and professional organizations, such as the CBA, the OBA and the Law Society of Ontario; and at seminars organized by the private sector, such as CERC, EHRA, HRPAO, Insight, and the Canadian Institute. She has also authored numerous articles.
