Kim Cledera

Kim is an associate at EY Law LLP. Her practice focuses on tax law, with an emphasis on tax litigation and dispute resolution.
Her business background and focused practice in tax law equips her to analyze complex working papers and reports of tax authorities. She has represented some of Canada’s largest multinational companies in the private sector on a wide range of tax matters, including taxpayer relief requests, voluntary disclosures, and various stages of dispute resolution, including audit and objection. She also represents clients in disputes with the federal and provincial tax authorities, including tax matters before the Tax Court of Canada and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Prior to joining EY Law LLP, Kim completed her articles and practiced at a boutique tax firm in Toronto. Kim is also a foreign-trained lawyer who worked in the Business Tax Services of an EY member firm in the Philippines.
Kim holds a Master of Law in Canadian Common Law from the University of Toronto School of Law, a Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila School of Law, a foremost and premier law school abroad, and a business degree from Ateneo de Naga University, graduating with a Magna Cum Laude distinction.
