Kiren is a lawyer with the Business Immigration practice at EY Law LLP. Kiren joined EY Law LLP in 2014 as a Canadian Immigration Law Clerk. She commenced her articles with the firm in April 2016 before being admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in June 2017.

Kiren’s practice focuses exclusively in the area of Canadian business immigration law. Specifically, she assists both corporate and individual clients in strategically assessing and addressing labour shortages in the market. She assists her clients with a wide range of Canadian immigration matters, including Labour Market Impact Assessments, Intra Company Transfers, international treaties including NAFTA, permanent residence applications, as well as compliance audits.

Experience

Kiren received her Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Finance, at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. Thereafter, she obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.

Credentials

Currently, Kiren is an executive member/treasurer for the Canadian Bar Association – Young Lawyer’s section. She is also an active volunteer with Calgary Legal Guidance, providing free immigration legal advice at various drop-in clinics, including at the Centre for Newcomers, Immigrant Services Calgary, and she participates in the annual Advice-a-Thon held at Calgary City Hall.
