Matt is an Associate Partner with EY Law LLP. Matt practices exclusively in the field of US immigration and nationality law, and has in-depth knowledge of US immigration law and practice, including temporary employment visas, permanent residence, citizenship, as well as I-9 compliance matters.
As an experienced attorney, Matt oversees the delivery of US business immigration services to clients on a wide range of matters, including H-1Bs, L-1s, TNs, PERM, I-140 petitions, immigrant visas and adjustment of status applications.
Matt joined EY Law LLP after practicing for several years as a US immigration attorney in various roles with the US Department of Homeland Security and the US Department of Justice. Matt handled various aspects of immigration law and policy, including asylum, criminal issues, waivers of removability, naturalization, VAWA and I-9 compliance before the immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Office of Chief Administrative Hearing Officer and the Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals.
Matt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Colorado and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. He is licensed to practice law in the United States and is a registered foreign legal consultant with the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is admitted to the Colorado State Bar. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
