Business Immigration

As a Partner in EY Law’s immigration practice, Neil advises clients on all aspects of Canadian citizenship and immigration law, with a focus on work permit applications, permanent residency, compliance, immigration program reviews, process improvement, and technology. He currently manages the Canadian immigration programs for local and international corporate clients in various industries, including information technology, finance, mining, construction, apparel, visual effects, and gaming.

Neil has helped industries negotiate changes to existing work-permit-related categories and create new ones. He has worked with government, city, and industry organizations to promote Vancouver as a strategic location for foreign companies to set up North American operations.

Neil joined EY Law in 2013, after articling at a prominent national full-service law firm in Vancouver. He has practiced corporate immigration law since 2012.

Neil is the Pacific Regional Committee Co-Chair for the Canadian Employee Relocation Council. He is a frequent speaker at industry, client, and educational events.
