Tharshini is a Manager and an Attorney with EY Law LLP based in Montreal, Canada. Her practice focuses exclusively on U.S. immigration and nationality law, specializing in corporate immigration. She represents local, national, and international companies, and devises strategies for global mobility.
Tharshini has over 10 years of experience with a combined US and Canadian Immigration law expertise representing individuals in family-based petitions, as well as companies in a range of industries, including entertainment, engineering, manufacturing, mining, information technology, aerospace, and defense. She is also specialized in Canadian Criminal Inadmissibility matters.
Prior to joining EY, Tharshini worked for a boutique immigration law firm in downtown Montreal, handling business immigration matters for both U.S. and Canada. In the U.S., she was an immigration attorney at a mid-sized law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, and was also employed at the Embassy of Canada (Visa Office) in Washington, DC. She brings an original perspective to the firm with her diverse upbringing and international experiences.
Tharshini is admitted to the State Bar of Connecticut and the United States District Court. In Canada, she is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and a member of the Quebec Bar (FLC). In 2011, she was awarded the AILA Pro Bono Star by the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
